Blog Challenge. Day 2.

Day 2: The meaning behind your blog name.

I put much thought into my blog's name. I figure names are pretty important. For instance, naming children is pretty dang important. Their name might help determine part of their personality. It might determine whether they have friends or not. True story. So I figured naming my blog was equally important since it is my baby. Thus, through much thinking came the name

A Little Bird Told Me

I feel like the bird is my symbol in a way. Catholics have the cross, McDonalds has the giant yellow M, America has the eagle. . . .and Kelsey Keller has a little bird.

Birds often symbolize the soul. They symbolize happiness and fulfillment. They symbolize freedom. These are all things that I seek after indeed.

Birds come in the spring as they please, and fly away when it gets cold. They make their own decisions. They seem pretty adventurous. They sing. They fly. They live free.

I love birds. All kinds of birds.

I figured that this blog is meant for my thoughts. So I write down things that I think up!

Thus came the title: A Little Bird Told Me

"Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all."

-Emily Dickinson

  1. Kelsey, I'm loving your blog-a-ton. I don't think I tell you often enough how cool you are. You're WAY out of Weller's league!

  2. Blog-a-thon. I like it! Maybe I should rename it that. And geez D, there are still 28 days to go so I hope you are excited and stay tuned in. And thanks for thinking I am cool. You seriously make me feel cool. And YOU are cool. I basically only date Weller so I can hang out with you and feel cool. ;)
