shirt: Smith's, necklace: Downeast, floral pants: Delias, heels: Payless
Once upon a time, when I was but an eighteen year old lass, I somehow landed the role of Dorothy in our high school musical, The Wizard of Oz. My mom actually made my costume out of some old blue and white curtains she had handy. It looked like the real deal. Who would have thought you could make clothes from old curtains?
And this is where you probably want to ask me if I snagged my grandma's vintage floral curtains and snipped and sewed them into a pair of pants. No, I did not. I bought these babies. But I suppose if I had more skill with a needle and thread, it would have been the cheaper route to go with the curtains. Maybe next time. Because I certainly wouldn't mind having a second pair of some pants with bright, obnoxious flowers on them.
Word of advice: Get yourself some attention grabbing pants. Buy them or make them out of curtains. I don't care. But you'll feel better about yourself in a flash.
